What are Honkaku Shochu and Awamori?

Honkaku Shochu is Japan’s traditional spirit, produced from different botanical varieties, traditionally grown in Kyushu and elsewhere in the archipelago. Awamori is the typical spirit from Okinawa. It is obtained only from rice.

Honkaku Shochu and Awamori are essentially made out of three things: ingredients, territory and people’s know how.
